Default Quick exhaust question

Will a newage direct fit backbox fit on a classic scooby?

Yes and no. The middle hanger is on the wrong side, so won't fit the bit on the car, but the exhaust will mate up and the tail-end fittings are fine. Classic owners either a) leave the middle hanger unconnected, or b) cut it off and weld it on the other way around.

yes but the hanger nearest the centre will be facing the wrong way, i have a classic backbox on my newage,

are the centre sections between newage and classic the same also?what about downpipe etc etc

i'm not 100% but i think the centre sections are different, in fact i think its only the b/box that can interchange.

Centre section is different: classic has a three-part exhaust, newage have a four-part system.

The classic centre section is slightly longer. I think by around 100mm or so.
I know this cos I had both parts in my shed at one point and someone asked the same Q as the op.

I did fit the newage STI [MY03] backbox to my RB5 and it fitted fine, other than the hanger as mentioned earlier. The 3rd bracket isn't really needed anyway.imo

so a new age prodrive bb will dit directly to my classic sti only thing is one support will not be on?

yup, i don't use the third hanger on my classic bb on my newage and it doesnt make any difference.
