Its basically an STI5/6 drive train in a 2 door shell. Same engine, 440 injectors and VF28 Turbo.

There are lost of options, but below is one path to take.

320bhp/300ibs is acheivable with a 3port solenoid, full decat, better filter, uprated pump/regulator and a remap (About a Grand if you shop wisely and get a good second hand system).
The limiting factors will then be the Turbo injectors and the intercooler.

Porting the headers and putting a better upipewikll give you upto an extra 10ibs torque.

To get the next 30bhp cheap you would need a Front entry TD0518G (or 20G for a bit more power - and lag), or a larger VF series units, but you will need a better top mount and bigger injectors than 440's. The cheapest option* (for fast road) is to use an STI8 intercooler and Dump valve, but you will need to make some small modifications).

The trouble when you get to 350ibs is that this is basically the limit of the standard clutch, which will cost you around £650 fitted for an uprated replacement. Once you do the clutch, then you start to stress the reast to the drive train even more.

My advice is to go for the 320 package and see who you get on, after all the next 30bhp is only 10% more power and will cost you upto another another £30 per bhp.

*There are some cheap front mounts out there, but unless you are running a good turbo, they can produce a bit of lag. No problem on track, but you loose a split second here-and-there on the road.

Also remember each time you add something, you need to pay £150 for another remap. (£600 for the first remap and licence)

Was looking at this one Brian Downie 4th car down

Had a EVO 8 for 3 years running 400/400 + so have done a fair bit of tuning.
With the work thats been done to the one I'm looking at, what turbo would be best to get a good fast road track car??

Cheers for the comments

One of the newer hybrids would be best, to cust down on lag with that (unknown manufactured) front mount.

Some reasonable ones here, all slightly different characteristcs
