Having bought our first Scooby some 6 months ago it was time for its MOT this week. It failed on the emissions and a lower ball joint. I have replaced the ball joint and was advised to try a fuel additive to get the emissions down. Took it back after running the additive through and going for a good long thrash to work it in. Well the readings are still high help. Readings as below.

Fast idle test
CO Max 0.30% 0.61% Fail
HC Max 200ppm 29ppm Pass
Lambda 0.97-1.03 1.01 Pass


Second fast idle test
CO Max 0.30% 0.83% Fail
HC Max 200ppm 63ppm Pass
Lambda 0.97-1.03 1.02 Pass

Natural idle test
CO Max 0.50% 0.76% Fail

Can anytone help could this be the sensor or has the cat had it ? I have a few days left for the re test to sort or its another full test.

The Scooby is a 2000 UK turbo it came fitted with a full 3 inch stainless exhaust which I am having problems finding out the make.
