Hi guys

Basically get the code read either at your local dealer or Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Knowledge / Reading ECU Fault Codes

my engine check light comes on now and again due to having no cat, but it never goes of again, first time it happened i had only just got the car from a garage, so they paid the 30 quid that my local subaru dealer charges to put it on the diagnostic thing, i've since bought this on ebay U380 OBD2 KKL OBD 2 diagnostic code Reader Scanner U380 on eBay, also, Diagnostic Tools Equipment, Garage Equipment Tools, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 20-Nov-08 10:10:22 GMT) ive used it a couple of times on the impreza both times it was the same code relating to the lamba (no cat) also used it on a mates car and it got the right thing as well, also lets you reset the light as well.

ive seen them cheaper on ebay as well from uk sellers, but i got mine from these and it was delivered in 2 days

ive read that they can turn of what ever setting checks, for the lamba so it doesn't throw it up again, even read of some cheap resistor trick that you put in the plug for the lamba,

when i get mine mapped after xmas now, holiday and some other supporting mods first, i'll be getting mine turned off as well, good to have that code reader though, i'll be able to see what over faults (hopefully none touch wood) i get, or even mates cars my mates car was misfiring even told us which cylinder,

thinking of using JGM myself looking at the stickers on the garages car who rebuilt my motor he did his as well,
