fitting reverse vent,wont it wet the engine

Default fitting reverse vent,wont it wet the engine

im thinking of fitting a reverse vent, but when i looked at my engine, there are a few electrical components under the vent, that in our climate will get wet, whats the story will it do any damage.

Everything under the bonnet is pretty resistant to water anyway so it should be OK. I wouldn't worry about it. If you think about it, the same rainwater comes in through a forward facing scoop when you're driving along anyway.
