Yesterday a bird ripped the scoop off my bonnet (bird=feathered variety, bonnet=MY00 variety)

Shopping around for a replacement but before I buy one I'd like to know if there's any real benefit of a bigger scoop. Will fitting the taller STi 8 scoop improve cooling? What about the STi 7 scoop?
