Default Intake questions.....

Hi all, I have bought a version 3 sti classic and im after some info.

My question is, surely the aftermarket indction kit that is fitted is sucking in warm air thus loosing potential power?

Im thinking of sourcing a standard air box and fitting a panel filter. I was also thinking of removing the resonator and fitting some ducting to the air box, i can either do this via the morrettes or via the bumper, my onlcy concern being rain entering the box......

what do people think?

Your right in saying that the ind kit will be sucking in warm air. Unless your going over 350 bhp then the standard airbox and good panel filter is more than up to the job.

Excellent, thought as much.

Next question is how to acheive a cold air intake, shall i use one of the morette twin lights or the bumper?

What can i do to avoid water entering the box?

Cheers
