Default How do I get 300bhp, plus?

Hi

Can anyone tell me the best way to get 300bhp or more. I've got a 98 'S' Uk Turbo 2000 with a full Blitz NUR Spec exhaust, boost controller and Walbro 255 fuel pump. I have about 1000 - 1250 ish to spend.

The previous owner reckoned it was running at 253bhp ish.

Cheers
Mark

Oh yeah, think it's the one where you can't map the ecu.

Pretty sure that yes you can map the ecu, i would be very suprised if you couldnt on a 98 reg
Anyway to start with the TD04 turbo wont get past 280 bhp so you gonna have to change that.
If your not wanting to go much over 320bhp then I would suggest

Decat Downpipe £100 second hand off here
Green panel filter, NOT an induction kit!
VF28 turbo (Dont go for a TD05 as it will be too laggy at 300bhp) £250-300 second hand off here
Tek 3 remap about £650 i think

That should see you at 300 bhp

Why don't you sell and by an STi or STi type R? You'll have a better base to start with then and 300bhp not too far away...

Those ECU's can be mapped now, by the ESL live board, or another I thnk from power engineering and / or Scoobyclinic. About £550 though. Apexi and map for £750 ish the better way to go.

Decat d/pipe wide mouth, STi panel filter, turbo and ECU/Map.

AndyF TD04 hybrid good for around 320 bhp and great spool up.
See andyforrestperformance.co.uk. Under turbos.

Alyn at ASPerformance will help you out too, great guy.
