Default Identifying PPP Ecu

How can i tell if a ecu is for a later model scoobie the one im looking at says prodrive here is a pic:

not necessarily !! depends on year - the ones used on my99/00 had STI stickers on (prodrive just remapped them)

how would u tell on a my98 bought an ecu being told off a ppp car but nothing on ecu says either sti or prodrive but seller assures me ecu is from car that had ppp fitted when new but my feeling does that defo mean ecu i bought was original ppp one??

damian.

thats just to problem - they have used various 'styles' of labeling on different years. presumably the only way to check for definite would to compare the ECUs' on a rolling road for power output...

There is no definate way, it should run more boost though than standard, but this could mean it's just been re-mapped, it does not guarantee it's a prodrive ECU
