Yep, plenty of people do, so long as you don;t mind everything under the engine getting a bit dirty....

IN a way yes, but engines run cooler without it, i remove mine when using the car on track for that reason alone, i know loads of people that run without them to seemingly no ill effect!

I spent a bit of time cutting and refitting mine after installing a front mount intercooler, I didn't fancy leaving everything exposed to the salt **** they keep putting down everywhere.

Some have said it makes the oil temps lower by removing it but it didn't on mine. I thought it made the handling odd at 110mph corner speeds with it off. If you do remove it then make sure you remove the geabox cover too or the wind will do that for you at 130mph+ with a loud bang!

thanks Floyd, lost my gearbox cover during a 4th\5th gear mapping session...drove past it twice before I noticed it had fallen off

could you elaborate on your experiences with the handling change?

if you remove the undertray, you also have the bonus of finding any tools that you accidently drop into the engine bay , on the driveway

The removal of the undertray made my car a little floaty at very high speed.

Lol @ Tony.

They aren't hard to refit....I just get my head centre to the tray, and hold it in position with my head whilst I screw in the two bolts, once in, I slide back and pop on the clips.

The trick is to keep the bolts and clips close at hand and to make sure the two tags are at the front of the car are located in correctly above the wheelarch liners (otherwise they snap off...erm, oops, bit late for me ).

lol they are with a bloody great HKS fmic that distorts the plastic and makes the holes difficult to access I should probably just cut it down a bit
