Lightbulb Temp problems and half a cold rad

Hi all im having problems with over heating well rather temp gage making a masive rise in a short space of time.

I did a full coolant change through top hose of turbo at first to see if this would help and still the problem still overheating, took it all back out and changed fermo and then re filled coolant again the rad is only warming up on the left hand side as u look at it. The top hose is hot the bottom is stone cold, when im driving normall no massive boost its fine as soon as i push it hard temp flies up..

Please any advice asap im takeing rad off to check for blockage just going out now to check
for air locks in it again, but as much advice as poss please ...

it does sound like a blockage mate or the thermostat. was the rad warming up on one side before you changed the thermo or just after?

it seems alot of people are havin trouble with coolant issues at the mo. could be the cold effecting the rubber hoses?

Lightbulb HELP PLEASE

Just got back in and it has happend again i filled it up took it out and little boost and water blew out of coolant filler pipe, when the car was hot i took bottom right hose off and the water that side was cold still and very little water come out,The left side hose is still red hot as is the radiator right side is cold as is the rad,so im stuck is there a way of bleeding it or a way of getting air locks out as i beleive this is got a big chance of being the problem i put a thermo in yesterday and checked it before fitting it worked fine...

Also could it be water pump ????

take off the radiator cap, turn your heaters to full hot, but not blowing....run the car and wait a while for bubbles to pop out the radiator cap / expansion, top up after 5 or 10 mins if required...that will remove any airlocks

also have you check the rad cap isnt bust? i.e. not holding pressurised
