Default 05 STi Engine Management Light

The engine management light has just come on my MY05 STi, how do I find out what the fault code is? How can I do an ECU reset?

Thanks in advance guys

You can't reset newage ECU's without some sort of EOBD device mervil. I had to use the Renault system to do mine...

Try turning the ignition on and off quite a few times. can't rmemeber the exact number but try up to ten.
This can clear some minor CELs.
Alternatively, I can rig up delta dash to the car, read the CEL and reset the ECU.
I'm not far off the A14 near Santa Pod if you were thinking of going back to Wales today.

If the fault is still present, the light will just come back on. If it was an intermittent fault (Like I left a connector off), no harm done...
