is it possible to convert an sti into an automatic transmission? would the tranny be ableto withstand the torque of the sti motor? just curious guys

 

It could be done, but it would be cheaper to fit an STi motor into an auto WRX! The tranny isn't bomb proof but would just about cope with an STi motor if well looked after, lots of bits available from the states to beef up the 4EAT though, although you loose proper 4WD!
