Default MAF sensor colours?

I'm assuming the MAF Sensor on my MY98 needs replacing as i'm getting flatspots past 4k revs in 4th and 5th when i put my foot down.

What i'm wondering is my MAF Sensor is a "purple label", does this mean i have to replace it with another purple label, or can i use a green label? What's the difference?

The MAF sensors are not swappable unless you have a custom ECU that can be reprogrammed forit. I also have a MY98 and also had a purple 'F' label MAF. I did in fact swap it for a Nissan Z32 MAF which is identical physically but my Power FC needed remapping to cater for this.

In normal use you must keep the original model of MAF sensor.
