WRX 01 needs to be grown:
What about:
-PPP
-Leda Suspensions-Eibach/Bilstein (prodrive)
-Brembo disks-Ferodo pads

What is the difference between leda option B and C?
Do you think that suspension would necessitate 18" wheels?
Why do you think prodrive perf pack does not include an air filter which is usually the first step of tuning?

Thank you for this huge amount of questions!

Good idea if you need to have the warranty intact - Possum Link from BRD would be my choice otherwise.

>-Leda Suspensions-Eibach/Bilstein (prodrive)

Depends on what you are after...the Leda setup that most of us use is a tad harsh for normal use (they can be had with softer springs though, and the dampers are adjustable) - they're noisy - but they are absolutely lovely when it comes to ***** out performance, and they're rebuildable.
The Prodrive setup (billies/eibachs) is more of a very able road setup, and this would probably be the best choice if you're not going to track the car. Costs are similar.

>-Brembo disks-Ferodo pads

Same here, if you are going to track the car, go for a full setup (AP or Brembo), lot's of money but you won't regret it.
Otherwise any decent pad/disc combo will be ideal.

>What is the difference between leda option B and C?

Leda C is a B strut that's been gas preassureized (to stop the oil from foaming under heavy usage), C requires more frequent rebuilds, and are a bit overkill on a road car.

>Do you think that suspension would necessitate 18" wheels?

Nope, but the 18" wheels will need the suspension to be sorted (if they're not similar in weight with the stock 17" ones).
Save your money and get better tires (that is if you don't hate the stock wheels and must get new ones).

>Why do you think prodrive perf pack does not include an air >filter which is usually the first step of tuning?

There were many Mass Airflow Meter (MAF) failures with the old Ramair (IIRC) panel filter that Prodrive used in the PPP kit.
The MAF on the MY99/00's didn't like oiled filters...nor vibration or increased airflow it seems.

Good luck!
