Default Oil pump

Is it possible to fit an uprated oil pump to my sti2? Or is this usualy done during a rebuild?

Probably for peace of mind as the oe ones valves sometime stick causing engine failure.

Why bother changing if its working ok ? I had these thoughts when i did my seals and belt but did the seals checked the valve and stuck it back together at 143k+

I was under the impression that the standard oil pump was ****e?

i was under the same impression. So i got an uprated one from graham goode and got a local garage to fit it while rebuildin my engine. I have piece of mind now so im happy!!
