The exhaust manifold runs under the front of the engine so a couple of things to check are:

1. The oil filter is loose or leaking and dripping on the exhaust.
2. The rocker/cam cover gasket on one bank is leaking.

if its just when your giving it some chances are its pushing a small amount of oil out of the rocker gasket and its driping on to the heat sheild or manifold

have a look at the rocker cover see if theres any signs around the bottom and just keep an eye on your oil level
