Can anyone tell me if the diameter of impreza maf are different?, reason i ask is i have bought a 300zx maf but mine is actually smaller in diameter than my my00 one? but i hear everyone else claiming the 300zx maf is larger?

 

standard pipe is 80mm diameter. Nissan z32 is 80mm diameter, but I have seen larger 90mm pipes on some special 300zx mafs!

Is yours an early version maf which I believe were smaller diameter?

 

just checked, yep my 300zx maf is 80mm, thing is the maf that came off is 90mm?

this sound right for a myoo ppp?

 

What power levels are you aiming for?

 

well only 320 at the mo, just fitted power fc, fmic, turbo and other bits and pieces, only reason im changing maf for is because airbox would foul fmic pipe work, and ive heard of failing mafs on induction kits

The replacement oe maf for the 99/00 model is suppose to be a better qaulity maf and probably capable for mapping at 320bhp

 

yeah ive just found out that mine has the newer 90mm maf, So is this suppose a better quality and less fragile than the earlier 80mm item?
