Default Temp sender location?

I'm trying to find the temperature gauge sender, I've followed the top host from the rad back to what I assume is the thermostat housing which has two sensors screwed into it, I assume the temp gauge sender is the one with a spade connector, would anyone be kind enough to confirm this or otherwise.

Thanks in advance for any help

You are correct except that is the cross pipe.. the thermostate is on the bottom right of the engine looking in the bay.. on the water pump where the lower hose connects to.. but anyway.. yes the gauge temperature sensor is the sensor with the single spade connector.. the other is the temperature sensor for the ecu.

Yoiu might find the spade connector is just rust and needs replacing rather than the sensor faulty.
