Hello all,

Cars standard or atleast it was still happening when it was standard.

any ideas, seems to bog down a bit around 2-3.5k rpm then clears and boosts fine.

Some suggestions would be appreciated, its off to wallace performance on Tuesday anyway but would like some ideas to offer them if anyone here has similar experience !!

Its not plugs, airfilter, or fuel filter !!

All small boost pipes appear brand new and mint

turbo and intercooler pipes are all secure.

Plug leads and coils packs etc likewise as new.

Please help haha !!!

believe it or not I had the same problem and it was the so called bullet proof maf.... I'm on my second now on my 2001 WRX at 300 odd a throw it aint been cheap..

MAF is pretty good on the 01s, but they run very rich from the factory, if decatted the results are less than spectacular as they can just misfire on too much fuel. Still worth getting it checked out, but if you're thinking of getting it mildy tweaked, then decat (or sports cat) with an ecutek remap will transform it.

Thanks a million fella's, sound exactly my problem, and it has been decatted and panel filter exaggerate it even more, shall hope the ecutek remap on tuesday clears it all away

Shall report back after that and see if its done the trick for future reference for others
