Default Indicator autocancel

This isnt a major issue but just an inconvinience.

I have a 97 classic (facelift) and the indicator auto cancell doesnt work. it has an aftermarket steering wheel which was fitted by the previous owner.

Anyone have any ideas to resolve this??

There is a little plastic collar inside the steering column surround that sits around the standard boss and cancels the turn signal automatically. Quite often when an aftermarket steering wheel is fitted, this plastic collar is removed. Not sure why, but it happens.

Your best bet is to remove the steering wheel and plastic surround and have a look. If it is there, it'll just need repositioning. If it is not there then a locaql scrap yard should have you.
