What should be the standard boost pressure for a MY95 JDM saloon?

My turbo gauge reads 0.5 bar when full acceleration in 5th gear, is that right?

What do other impreza's read??

my 93 has a 0.9 max, though it never quire reaches it. I think 95s are the same.
sound like your ECU is in limp-home mode
Do a search for instructions on re-setting it and checking for error codes

 

The JDM WRX 1995 has a boost target of 11.47psig(0.79bar) with a boost cut of 14.87psig(1.02bar) - for the boost to be at 0.5bar it would seem it is in 'safe' mode - the ECU has probably detected a fault. If you look HERE this shows how to initiate the diagnostic procedure so to locate any sensor faults.
