UP PIPE AND DOWN PIPE
Ive been looking into a up pipe and down pipe for my 01wrx bugeye ive look at a few,and im wondering if the scoobysport ones are the best.ive heard diffrent story's of people saying you need your ecu set and others say you don't and someone ever said that the ecu sorts its self out after about a 100 miles anyway, will i do my car any damage if i don't get the ecu remapped or whatever is needed. And last question are they hard to fit im going to use the ramp at work if that helps lol.Im really wanting to go ahead with these pipes so can someone please direct me in the right direction many thanx steve

Downpipe is easy to fit given a ramp, as long as the bolts aren't seized and you have moderate mechanical knowledge. Up pipe is not easy to fit. I think there are instructions somewhere on scoobymods.com or similar - have a look there.
The ECU will learn it's way around the mods, you are unlikely to damage anything by not re-mapping, although you won't get the full benefit unless you do. A lot of people run the downpipe without re-maps, several have run the up-pipe too. I ran both for about 10 days on my 02WRX with no problems, but then I got the remap to get the full benefit.
Do a search in the drivetrain forum to find out a bit more.
