sorry peeps,another annoying cut out prob on a 95 classic wrx.
At about 4200rpm and 5200 rpm but only when warmed up.its quite a jolt,its not boost related as the boost gauge is smooth flowing,and it only happens on over 3/4 throttle,it was standard until this problem started.
So i fitted a dump valve was fine for a week or so then came back.So then i fitted full decat system,made no differance.
Went to rolling road no probs on the day TYPICAL.Done an oil change n topped up halfway,ive also changed spark plugs,cleaned boost controler with brake fluid but to no avail and now a dawes device but still no luck.
Please can u guide me its driving me nuts,oh and its always run on optimax n im the first uk owner.................

What gear(s) does it do it in?

 

1.2bar ,mostly in 4th n 5th not often happens in other gears but it has done in all in the past............

 

had the same prob with mine a 95 wrx and it turned out to be a coil pack had gone,
if you change them around you will find the bad one/two and only have to buy one/two
otherwise you will have to buy all four and i payed £30 from tiley in bristol.
