Changing coolant hoses.
I've bought a set of Samcos to replace the standard ones.
Is there anything i should look out for when doing the job ? (my98 uk turbo)
Will i need to bleed the system or anything like that ??
I'm not 100% sure.
Thanks
Johnny

Johnny ,
Snap mate i'm going to change my for the samco ones at the weekend ,
and what i can gather you drain the system at the bottom rad hose and when you refill leave the top of the expansion tank , start the car up and sqeeze the hoses to get the air out , plus turn the heater onto hot and you should see the air bubbling in the expansion tank .
After you have done this let it cool then topup the tank .

It's best if you can clamp the two hoses that lead into the cabin heater matrix (at the lowest point) (not sure where they are on the Scoob.
Normally the heater matrix under the dash is where the air will collect. I know most manufactures fill the system under pressure so the air will be forced out whereas a gravity DIY fill won't.
Sometimes dealers are told to clamp the hoses I have mentioned to avoid the air being trapped and the associated noise it can produce in the cabin.
