High Idle

Question High Idle
Car is a my93wrx and normally idles at 900rpm. went for a run and idle was 1500rpm for about 5mins then finally returned to 900rpm.
anyone any ideas what could cause this?

give your idle controller a clean, or maybe a sticking throttle cable, or maybe a slightly dodgy MAF, use carb cleaner on the element if the problem keeps occuring.
