very interested in any info you have got on hybrid waste gates,
ie:~ recommended type,what difference will i get(power and sound)
ease of fitting(diy or dealer),other mods needed to go with fitting,poss probs found once fitted,and cost,

What exactly did you want to acheive m8? People dont seem to be doing actuator upgrades that i've read of. There might be another more practical way to get where you want to be. Cheers. Olly

Was out with a mate and a scoob(around MY97) went through gears and got a fluttering noise?,
This was explained as the "butterfly" on upgraded wastegate making that noise,
sounded amazing so was interested from then on!!!,
just threaded to see if any info was out there

 

Sounds like a good enough reason to me.

 

if you check out american website for wastegates, they tend to be all for them on their custome turbo cars that they play with!

what year car is it?

if its 92 - 96 just get rid of the dumpvalve... turbo may not last as long but should sound right.
