Getting 320bhp and 280lbs/ft torque from my MY01 WRX wagon but got slight fuel starvation/detting at top end on dyno run. During road test/mapping session no problems noted. Mapped on optimax but ran BP ultimate on dyno run.

I trust the tuner and they have a great reputation.

Can anyone help, as I am doing a track day soon so I'm starting to wonder if she's gonna blow...

Should I....

1.Fit a fuel pressure regulator and/or aquamist system.
2.Just re-map to dump more fuel in & pull back to 300bhp.
3.Not worry becuase a dyno run is different/more extreme than real world/track conditions.

Cheers

Running:
IHI VF30
STi7 Injectors/intercooler/scoop
Upgraded fuel pump
Full de-cat system
Ecutek re-map etc.

Are you monitoring det with a knocklink? this could be what you need, when you start to det, back off.

This would probably be a cheap and efficient solution depending on how much you trust the old knocklink.

Otherwise you could get it re-mapped on an RR and not worry about such things, still a knocklink seems to be recomended by the people in the know.

Dave.

Speak to the mapper. You'd be best checking the top end fuelling is not lean before hammering it on a track.

Some rollers with inadequate cooling make cars det when they never would on the road or even track.
