Fuel Cut defender self made !!
#1
Hi !
Has someone made a Fuel Cut Defender by his self ? Or had experience ?
I have a solution:
With an OpAmp (double) to convert resistance (highohmic) not to load the map sensor and a Z-Diode something like 3V6 or 3V9 to hold the voltage before the cut comes (ECU thinks driving 1.15bar).
Thanks for any suggestion
bye

Can do it easier than that but ... holding (clamping) the voltage disables the safety cut, if a pipe comes off then watch out.
If you do it make sure you have a big boost gauge in easy sight.

Hi !
How make it easier ?!
Thanks but the safety cut is the reason why i use a FCD ! or ?
My boost is controlled by HKS EVC IV thats ok i think or ?
And 1.3bar i think also is not soo bad.

Also,
Be careful running 1.3bar as you may well be suffering Det. If you disconnect your battery for 20 mins then drive the car, if it's much quicker you're getting det! Luckily for you the uk/euro cars can retard the timing probably enough to avoid det, but you may gain more by reducing the boost to 1.15-1.2 allowing the ignition to run more advance.
