Replacement Brake Pads
Mine lasted 29k on my MY97 but I do a high proportion of motorway driving - mileage may be a little misleading unless you're comparing like with like regarding use especially as I've always regarded myself as harsh on tyres and brakes.
I replaced the pads with the harder Mintex pads from the dealer(can't remember the cat no but think they would be classed as 'fast road'if you're sourcing elsewhere)
They were expensive and I'm happy with them but it's difficult to compare as I also replaced the wheels/tyres at the same time with the speedline 16"s/PZeros.
Next time I intend to try the Pagid pads (available from Scoobysport)as I recall reading favourable comments somewhere (on the BBS?)
Based on past experience(not only with the scoob)I feel the extra cost is usually worth it but it depends on how you drive and budget....

Personally prefer Mintex (30 quid uprated rears for standard discs and 118 quid for uprated front CTech versions to complement Tarox grooved discs). Thoroughly recommend uprating front discs to grooved versions. Got a good 15k out of the fronts even with grooved discs, lots of motorway and A road driving (plus track day at Donnington!). Believe most people are familiar with Scoobysport versions as Pete seems to have tested a few before going for his current stock - personal preference when you get to a certain level I s'pose.
