How much power/torque difference will a decat centre pipe only make to a standard UK 99MY? Don't really want to change the downpipe or back box.
Also, some pipes have a choice of resonator box or not, what effect will this have, is the box just to reduce noise?

Might consider a Dawes as well (with boost and A/F meters).

 

Best to change your back box as well, seems to be about 10 BHP for a back box. The centre de-cat wont do alot at all, didnt even pick up an increase on the rolling rd when I fitted mine, but it does sound sooo nice when coupled up to a replacement back box.
Your right about the resonator, just makes it a little quieter.

(that was on a 00MY turbo, others might say different)

MY00 decat centre and prodrive rear box. I can't remember if I got a power increase...maybe thats the answer or more likely you get used to it too quickly

I found the OEM system sooooo quiet I couldn't even pick up any clues from the car as the revs. The quietest quick car I had even owned quite errie.

Anyway ditch both sections and take care with your backbox choice if you go for it I have an unwanted Haywood and Scott in the loft.....so maybe get a listen at a local meet?

The two combined should give about 18bhp.
