Question

OK, I have a '98 UK turbo. It has ITG filter, full decat, (TSL,GroupN), and Godspeed 330mm four pots.
Where do I go from here?
Is there anything other than a unichip-type thing that I should defo avoid? Based near the Humber, who would people recommend to do the work? What sort of gauges do I HAVE to have, and what ones would be advisable?
Lastly, of course, what can I expect to gain, and what's it going to cost??

Try a Dawes to up boost, which youll need a boost guage to do. Get a fuel cut raiser and lift boost further to a safeish limit of 1.2 bar. Buy a knock link and an AFR meter to make sure there is the correct amount of fuel and no knock due to the raised boost!! Chip it some how and again get the same results. The only real difference is you will be shifting the power some where else on the power curve.

As an estimate for power. The standard UK car is 217bhp so you may be around 250 bhp with all your mods and a fully decated system. However that is an estimate I may be wrong!!

My advice is to invest in a mappable ecu or just remapp the std one. Boost can be raised this way safely by adjusting the fueling and advance etc etc to suit your mods. It may be more costly but it is the safest and most effectve mod.
