RB5 came in 2 versions - standard MY99 spec or WR version. WR version had PPP fitted. sounds like the ECU you have is the PPP version which is remapped (I think). Dont know how to tell though.

Exclamation

If it has a pink STI sticker on it, then it's a Prodrive PPP ECU (same as the PPP ecu for a MY99/00 car)

If it's a brown/black/green sticker, then it's a standard UK ECU. Should be the same as a standard MY99 UK/Euro car! (The MY00 slightly different fuelling, etc)

The high wing is a red herring, as it could have been added later!

Although a round (rather than oval) Prodrive backbox, along with a blue silicon hose with the word 'Prodrive' on it under the intercooler and the ECU with a pink sticker is the PPP (Prodrive Performance Pack)

Std RB5 has a brown AE801 ECU, the WR Sport version has the Pink STI/Prodrive ECU.

AE801 is mapped same as other MY99 cars. Prodrive one has boost/Fuel cut increased and other areas of the map changed.

If it had the zorts and high wing, then it sounds like it should have the Prodrive one. The wing and zorts could have been added later.

Jase,

The RB5 and WR Sport versions are the same basic car, but with the extra bits added.

The WR Sport version added the Prodrive wing, PPP (ECU, backbox, centre section and IC hoses) and a WR Sport rev counter. That's it (there's no other differences) so it would be easy to add all or some of the bits at a later date.

Both would have Prodrive certificates for the PPP upgrade although sourcing a WR Sport rev counter would prove difficult.

The only real way of knowing is if the original reciept from the Dealer stated RB5 or RB5 WR Sport.
