PE phase one conversion
Got a MY'98 turbo with full TSL stainless system inc. downpie, and ITG filter.
Anyone got experience of the Power Engineering phase one ECU conversion on a similar car? Reliability/power gains are my main interest here.
Cheers guys.

alcazar:
I have a PE Phase 1, with a number of other mods.
My car (STI V4) now has 62K miles on it and it's running better than ever (mods were made about 10K).
Apart from anything else it remaps for UK fuel, which is good for safety.
I also have PE Oil Cooler and Water Injection fitted for safety (maybe over the top, but with 348BHP I don't want to take too many chances ;-) )
There are some on this board who have blamed PE for destroying their engines, and I am not going to get into that 'discussion'.
All I can say is that it works for me and many others are in a similar happy position.
The thing is Scooby engines do have a habit of letting go, tuned or not, so I don't think it's as straight forward as blaming the tuner.

MY98 with PE phase 1 + PET75 downpipe Magnex centre and ss back box.
Had this on the car since march.
1 It reliable
2 Increased performance
3 increased fuel consumpsion
Just been to La mans and the car was driven hard, following a carrarra 4. no problems, on overtaking trafic my car was as quick.
High speed moterway driving the car never mist a beat.
Money well spent.
Would I do it again? YES
