Hello all. Just picked up a 2002 Impreza Outback Sport. Looking forward to turning it into a nice little adventure vehicle for myself here in Colorado. Before that though, needs some mid level work to get it road worthy. Clutch, rear wheel bearings and rear axles are all in line for replacement. New to Imprezas, but have been wrenching on my Jeep for years, so taking it all on myself. Seems like there are a lot of options and price ranges for the parts I’m looking at. Should state to begin with that this vehicle will not be raced or wheeled. Dirt roads and snow are in its future. Once up and running looking at the forester strut swap and some aftermarket basket/lights and some larger tires to finish it off, but that’s getting ahead of myself.
What do you all think about aftermarket, less expensive parts, and are there some brands to look for or be aware of?
