PFR6 OR PFR7 Spark plugs and what ht leads

6s are more than adequate - esp. for the relatively modest power of the 208 or 215bhp UK cars.
I used to have 7s on my 384bhp STi 5 - thinking a colder plug would help against det (in theory it will). But after a conversation with a respected specialist, went back to 6s, as they're 'more ready to go' re. the igniting of the air-fuel mix. Subjectively, the 6s did make the engine feel more lively (although, it could well have been Placebo, of course lol).
Plus, there was no det (I have a Mk2 Simtek set so that the CEL/EML light flickers when det is sensed).
You don't need any 'fancy' aftermarket HT leads. The OEM ones are more than up to the task.

I changed the oil and filter at work a few months ago. Some expensive ester oil and genuine oil filter. I work at Ford I wouldn't pay another garage to do my work. I shall do the plugs and leads next. I'm in no rush to do every thing at once I will do it as I come across it.We have just started the emigration process which will take a long time and want to take the car with us

- It's a Forge all-metal recirc. based on the pattern that's on your car i.e. with its inlet and recirc ports being 90-deg to each other. IIRC, I think API used an OEM recirc hose from a Bug (or Blob), to join it back to the turbo inlet hose's recirc. take-off.
- I don't know what you mean by your second question?

If you look at the pics of my car, you can see a shallow swage line (indentation) in the middle of the doors. Yours will obviously have it, too.

The queer thing about it is I work at Ford in the garage the car is always on the grounds in the car park I always get passing comments from customers and managers saying they like it and they used to have one puts a smile on your face. I get other Subaru drivers on the rds who give a wave when they pass you. Drivers of all ages from late teens to drivers in there late 50s seem to have one ,it's a proven car with street cred. I prefer a classic any day

Just the general evolution of road cars year on year.
Bigger physical size; bigger wheels (as car dimensions get bigger); more creature comforts/gizmos; Euro NCAP-sanctioned safety features, stiffness (strengthening), etc etc......
