Hi guys hope all well, went to open the boot to get something out, pulled the latch went to the back and boot still closed, tried it again and still nothing, then tied opening it with the key and the key just spins left and right but doesn’t open the boot, any ideas what it could be or how I can get the boot open?

Thanks in advance

Try operating the latch while getting someone to "bounce" the boot lid downwards for you, it sometimes works.

Otherwise it's a backseat out job, crawl through and operate it manually. Not as hard as it sounds: two or three bolts for the seat squab, lift, detach from rear and remove. Two bolts low down for the rear, lift at the top and remove, (it hooks over).
Then unbolt and remove the covering for the boot area, you'll see how when you get the seat back out.
I got so quick doing mine when in france with it once, and needing to carry longer stuff, I could remove and replace in under 15 minutes.

Replacing, the only bit to watch for is to ensure the seat back is hooked over properly at the top before tightening any bolts.

You may find the latch broken or jammed, something caught in it.

Don't forget there's a switch beside the mech in the boot that isolates the interior pull, so it can ONLY be operated with a key.

Yes I can see the latch, I’m assuming it should be in the cancel position ie down
