Default Exhaust system help

Hello everyone,

I bought my first impreza last month, it is a 2002 wrx bugeye. The last owner had put on a 3 inch straight through with a 4.5 inch tail pipe/muffler which is just too loud for me. I don't think it would pass an emissions test as no cat and I need to make it quieter, can't seem to find exhaust system with cat. Sorry if this sounds stupid, I am new. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Yeah I think I might just go for a sports cat, it is some price for them but maybe worth it when it comes to the MOT. Downpipe Cat from Cobra sport is like £450, Is it worth it and would it pass MOT do you think? Yeah will definitely get a remap just to be on the safe side 👍
