Default What power do you think I will get

i have a classic Impreza. 2.1 closed deck block stroker, v3 sti heads and inlet manifold, RCM headers, 800cc injectors, td06 20g turbo, fmic, cobra 3inch full exhaust inc decat, 6 speed gearbox and r180 rear diff. Loads more aswell but I think they are all the mods you need to know, I'm hoping for 400bhp what do you think

There is more experienced people on here that can help than I, but what ECU are you running?

Seems to me that the limitation is the Turbo, I would say 400 is easily achievable, the TD05 20G's were making >380+ from memory.

What fuel are you going to be running?

Robert.

Alcatek ecu, I am currently saving for a sc42 turbo and going to convert to top feed injectors at a later date but I can't wait any longer to get car back on road I no that 400 is going to be a stretch on that turbo but it would be nice lol

Out of curiosity, with that spec why a SC42? now they are a very good turbo no doubt about that but surely you'll be dialling for more like 450+ with the spec you have listed?

just a bit worried about lag but I was thinking about the sc46 but not sure I think around 420 should be enough in a classic with no tc or abs, but I did hear that the sc42 can usually produce more than 420 not sure how true that is

360-380 but a bit laggy them 20gs.
The sc42 will be very sweet on a 2.1 for spool and drivability

I made 400 with a built 2.1 and an 18g! Although that was with 20% meth, 370 bhp without.

OP said TD06H 20g.

So what with the larger compressor wheel/housing PLUS the extra 100cc, then every chance of near 400, I'd wager...

My previous 2003 STI was running an SC42 on standard internals, it made 400 on v power and 432 on 20% meth. I've some videos somewhere, but it's not apples and apples as your on a 2.1 in a classic.

I also ran a 2.1 in a classic with an S206, made apx 500 and was very usable for both road and track with minimal lag.

😂 I will post a pic of the graph when I get to work, it's a bit low of torque because of the very lazy td06

Very interesting thread! I also have a td06-20g to go on to my 2.1 (though with new age wrx heads). Hopefully I'll get similar numbers to you

used to have a td05-20g on my 2.0, and loved it, so hoping that the td06 will drive similar on the slightly larger displacement.

Full boost around 5k so very lazy turbo but once you get going its fine, he didn't push it to hard as first time this engine has seen any boost, defo going to change for an sc42 when I have the funds should get more power and hit boost a good 1k earlier

not sure mate all I know is that the turbo is a td06 20g but the actual exhaust housing doesn't look any bigger than the td05 I had on previously
