Default No spark after engine swap

Hi people. Newbie here.
Ive just bought my first subaru. Its a 2001 wrx.
Chap i bought it off told me he had fitted a classic engine. He couldn't get it running and was advised to change cam and crank pulleys, which he did.
Ive checked and found theres no spark.
What readings should i get from the loom to cam and crank sensors ? Anyone got any ideas what i could check ?

i assume it's a v5 or 6 classic engine? well heads at least?

are you 100% he changed the pulleys?
you can pull crank sensor out and count the teeth to check that it's the correct one
cam pulleys check by removing the belt covers

Classic pulley top
newage (one you want) bottom

Yea v5 I mean version 5

you may as well take the timing belt covers off to check the trigger wheels and check it's timed up properly too.

Ok looking at engine right now and crank gear looks exactly like bottom pic. Do i need things like air box sensor connected to get a spark ? Also the engine code is 449954 is that a classic engine code ?
Thanks
