Hesitation/Stuttering
Hi All,
Hoping for some assistance! Got an issue with my 02 plate Bugeye WRX.
There is some hesitation/stuttering which seems to be getting worse, the worst though is in 2nd gear when coming off a roundabout - if I boot it it literally gets to 3.5k - 4K revs and is like hitting a wall, then the boost kicks back in and off if shoots. Doesn't seem to be overboosting and does it no matter how much fuel. This occasionally happens when going in a straight line but not as frequent.
In addition the car does now (just started) stutter when free revving and is showing small hesitation at other times but not to the extreme of the above.
Car is an 02 Bugeye WRX, stage 2 tuned with TBE, decatted UP, 3port boost solenoid, panel filter, HKS SSQV.
I've tried a replacement working MAF, changed neutral position switch, checked visually for any leaks so don't know where to go from here..
Any ideas? Not throwing any CEL although I have had random misfire codes previously..

I had random misfire codes on a wrx stage 2 blob for over 2 years, and had parts thrown at it; plugs, coil packs, NPS, O2 sensor, cam sensors etc. It had done between 60 and 85000 miles at this point, daily use so often short journeys. I had 2 top specialists tell me it was unlikely to be injectors, but I had them cleaned (Injectortune) and the car ran like new. Who cleans their injectors, despite the spray pattern being crucial to a turbo car and it being reccommended by 60000 miles ?

Just an XPT stage 2 tune at the moment with the relevant mods, going to get a custom tune when I change turbo, injectors etc but want to get to the bottom of this first.
