Default Super tech pistons?

Hi, I've got a set of supertech pistons in my newage block, are they a good piston or a budget type?
The engine was last rebuild by API.

Good kit, and their superior valves and springs are less expensive than the OEM stuff. Why have you pulled your engine apart?

I'm putting forged rods and pistons in. Are these stronger than standard pistons? Or just a good replacement for oem?

I have Supertech Pistons in my hatch had no problems @440bhp. Engine builder was happy with the quality of them. And for forged pistons there not loud at all once the engine is warm!

Are mine in the picture forged? If so I won't buy new ones. They look like standard cast to me.

I believe Supertech only do forged pistons. If API built the engine I'd have spoken with them first before pulling it apart. Why not ask them what the build included? It might already be a fully forged engine.

I've tried to find out what's been done, the invoice just says rebuild, and Api can't find the paper work as they changed owners the same year as the rebuild.
They're standard rods, has an api up rated oil pump and acl bearings.
If they're forged Pistons then I'll put them back in with my new rods.

Just make sure you hone the bores and use new rings.
