Default My new mods

Finally got round to playing with the lights on the scoob.

Firstly, I only got one reverse light as I replaced the offside bulb for a foglight, so decided to go back to having 2 reverse lights again AND have foglights in there too!

I bought a batch of 10mm Ultrabright red LEDs and after a bit of experiment with an old light cluster I had, here's the result:

Only done one side today, will finish it off tomorrow

Secondly

Just to make the scoob a little different, I removed the front indicators completely and put the bulbs into the sidelights, then fitted 10mm warm white LED's in there as well.

Indicators removed:

Just need to do a little trimming to tidy the bumper up.

New LED sidelights:

Indicators:

The LED's are a bit to bright as they drown out the indicators but it's a simple fix, I put 5 LED's in each unit so will have to take 1 or 2 out.

When I get time, I'll do a fitting guide on my website.

Thanks guys, been playing around with LED's for a project at work and thought I'd give it a try!

I really fancied doing something with the scoob to make it look a little different and with the indicators gone, it's subtle and hope it gives the front end a little bit of an aggressive look.

Was thinking about the Audi R8 style, but thought it may look a bit naff

Nice one Paul.

What's the plan with the old indicator apertures?

You need to change your avatar now.

Most probably brake ducting mate, just had a look in the daylight and it definately needs the light brackets tidying up! for the time being, I'll paint the satin black.
