*** ESOC APRIL 2017: Pub Meet @ The Lodge ***
Keeping the ball rolling in 2017, it’s time to look forward to our next meet.
ESOC Returns to The Lodge Country Inn!
07:30pm Wednesday 26th April
The Lodge Country Inn
Burnham Rd,
Rettendon
SS11 7QT
This family run pub, hotel and restaurant is located on the A132 between Wickford and South Woodham Ferrers. Offering up a plethora of freshly prepared hot and cold meals including their Wednesday Evening speciality: Pie and Pasta. (other menu items will still be available)
* eating food is not a requirement btw, just an option
We will be parking on the large overflow gravel carpark situated behind the duck pond as opposed to the tarmac car park you will pass through on your way in.
It is advised to enter from the A132 side and leave via Woodham Road around the back whilst being mindful of the surrounding neighbours. Both roads lead to the same points so regardless of which direction you are coming from/heading too, you will be able to navigate your way back onto the main road. (Google Maps is your friend.)
Hopefully we will be able to enjoy a lovely evening in the late-spring sunshine but if not, remember we can all retreat inside. Once I have an idea of numbers I will be able to reserve a table so please be sure to get those names down.
Now the boring part. Please don't act in any form of stupidity i.e testing your exhaust loudness, donuts, burnouts etc. Anyone caught or been reported to acting in this manner will be dealt with in certain ways which can lead to being asked to leave the venue. SN accepts no responsibility for anyone's driving style

Hopefully the weather isn't going to put too many off (seeing as it's descending back into Winter...apparently)
I think as far as new Fords go, the Edge is certainly one of their better looking vehicles. I think they're quite cool personally.

Oh dear, I do believe you have the symptoms of 'Early onset sensible syndrome' I suffered a bout of this in the mid/late 70's when the kids came along and I sold my GT Capri and got a Datsun! Fortunately, with treatment, I found myself in recession and gradually made a (almost - it's a 4 door hatchback FFS!) recovery.
Get help now, before it's too late!

I think I'm bordering more into the regions of 'Early Onset Mid-Life Crisis' hahaha!
...Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and colour my hair like a rainbow.

Great to have you along and YEY- double figures!
See- THIS is what happens when I purposefully arrange all the meets so they don't clash with winter weather- the winter weather clashes with us instead.
I genuinely thought we would be safe come the tail-end of April; like a FOOL!
I hope the weather won't put too many off although try to see it as more of an excuse to go inside and eat food instead lol

Anyone else fancy a trip out in the freezing winds/hail/snow/rain of mid-spring?
