Default Rubbing Noise

Unfortunately I had recently noticed a rubbing noise from the rear passenger wheel and it seems to be when I am doing tight right hand turns with reasonable pace.

I fitted new brake pads and discs Sunday and had Goodyear F1 tyres (225/45/17) fitted a couple of weeks ago.

Don't suppose anyone has any ideas as to what the cause may be? Someone suggested that the tyres may be to big for my Hawkeye WRX and that its the wheel rubbing on the strut, could this be true?

Wouldn't have thought so. I use Eagle F1 tyres but 40 profile on 18" rims which should give similar rolling diameter. Sounds more like tyre on outer wheel arch, which I also find hard to believe as your std wheels should be nowhere near the arches.

odd one!

Gave Paul at Extreme Scoobies a call and he seems to think it might be tyres are too big :S Im sure that 225/45/17 was standard. My mate has been 'shaking' the car and seems to think the rear sub frame is a bit wobbly....
