The Official ESC 2012 Tunnel Run Thread
ESC 2012 Tunnel Run Saturday 27th October
Here it is at last, the official thread for this years Tunnel Run.
As before it will start at Thurrock Services, Lakeside (RM16 3BG), meet as from 7pm and leave at 9pm. Free parking here is for 2 hours only, so try not to arrive before 7pm as otherwise you may be subject to parking charges.
The route is going to be slightly different this year, partly to account for the fact that we cannot park at Billingsgate any more, so the mid-point regroup will now be at McDonalds Peninsular Park, Charlton (just south of the river); also it has been altered so we will be doing Dartford Tunnel at the start of the run as well as at the end - in previous years by the time we get to the Dartford Tunnel the group is usually quite split up and it would be nice this year to make sure we all go through it together at least once
FULL details of the new route will be posted very soon - thanks to Ron
and to the other guys who made helpful suggestions to the route planning.
Wongy will be supplying the stickers again, which will be on sale on the night (£5) and proceeds from their sale will be going to charity - not entirely sure what charity yet, we think we'll try and keep it local again by choosing an Essex charity, details to follow soon.
Dannyboygti is also going to try and arrange for a photographer on site to take some quality pics of the cars, which will then be posted up on a website and can be purchased in various sizes and formats
So it just remains to say........... GET YER NAMES DOWN!!
