Default Opensource Base map (With mods)

Does anyone have an opensource hex base map for the following:

Bugeye 2002 WRX
Mods to be fitted:
Complete decat 3" Exhaust
Panel FIlter
Everything else stock.

ECU is a A4SE900D (AF531 7555)

I have the base map but was wondering if anyone has one with the mods I have listed so I have a basic starting point to go off when above parts are fitted.

I've got one mate , but you would be better off tweaking you're map to suit you're car
You can get away with using a one map fits all ( it's better than running the stock map with mods ) but you would be better starting now and you can learn as you go along , a little at a time

I was after a map that had similar mods to what I want to install then tweak that rather than go from base

Pm me you're email mate ,I'll send you a couple , tbh it's not really any different starting from base or a tweaked map , to be right you still need to log it and give it a good check over , have you got a wideband , ( I've got to ask you that because if I don't a million others will ) and don't do what I do or you will never hear the end of it lol

Got one or two here from my motor if interested (same code A4SE900D, coincedentally A4SE700D will also work from earlier bugs). Was running a tad under 17psi happily until I upgraded to VF24 and still going strong.

One of my earlier efforts into OS mapping but was told at the time that it was looking pretty good data wise, drove great on the road too. Timing was smoothed out a touch afterwards. If you use anyone elses base maps, log as much as you can and tweak, dont just flash and forget, it is part of the fun when you can feel the changes making a positive impact.

I was gonna suggest starting to post some maps up
But like you say there is a temptation to just flash a map in and think that it's all good
That's why I recommended the op start from scratch , also I've advise he log it to death both before and after to see what effect his mods and mapping are having

Default Remapping your own ECU

Hi
I an glad you have posted this up as i am in the same position. I have a 2003 WRX which has decat up down and centre pipe and panel filter. I would like to load a prodrive map into the ECU to give approx 265BHP with these mods rather than remap.
I understand that Prodrive just used a generic safe map when upgrading the WRX to PPP and did not see the need to map individual vehicles.
Failing the above does any one know if you can change the ECU for a PPP unit without affecting the cars security and immobilisation system
I am sure this has been debated many times before but cannot find much info on here using the search engine. Have spoken to a fair number of tuners who all want to remap at £500 to £600 with the Vat.
I am aware i will need to download software and purchase an OBD to USB cable, any advise on this would be gratefully received.
John

That's some amount of timing at the top end there, probably helped by the lower boost.

I have a base map but you'd need a mbc to use it in parallel.

Thanks Tony and brendy

Just analysing what changes the rom has over standard.

Tony did you manage to get a madmod vagcom cable working on a bugeye? The Tactrix cable jsut seems expensive.

Yes mate my madmod cable works fine , I have to use ecu flash 1.32
Not a problem for me as I only work on my car
Madjax modded the cable for me £20 exchange
If you're gonna get a vag cable to mod you have to make sure it's the right one

Yea, I wasnt pushing boost to the max to be honest, pro mappers would certainly be able to get more out of it but I figured that seeing as I am an IT manager not a mapper, a healthy safe increase would be nice, squeezing the last 5bhp out of her wasnt/isnt my target.
Saying that, the timing I was running there was running fine with both 95 and super.
Those figures were achieved on a td04, full true 3" decat turboback but with stock catted uppipe fitted.
Now running Sti pinks, VF24 and classic uppipe so the map has evolved on more.

The roms can be in the format of bin or hex files, base rom is basically a starting point rom with which to tweak. Easier just to call them roms.

Yes that is the correct way to mod the cable , btw you don't need the orange & white jumper cables , just the fine ones
The hard part is getting the correct vag cable to mod
You can get various vag cables that are all correct for vag applications but only one type is suitable for modding to flash Subaru
Or you could buy a tactrix

I just been reading on another forum seen your post on there from april about the cables seems bit hit and miss sadly had a look at tactix unsure what cable would be needed so what about the program used to flash the ecu where would that be downloaded from sorry for being dumb, This cable looks like the one but who knows as it a different colour looks similar to the blue one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...sid=p2992.m753

The supplier with the best success rate of supplying the correct cable is
Dx.com in the states catalogue number
SKU: 42823
You will need to download ecu flash ( ver 1.32 ) if you're using a modded vag
And romraider

The first thing I would advise is do plenty of reading , researching , asking questions and learn what does what ,and what effect changes in the map make
You really need a wideband 02 to monitor you're afrs ( I don't bother but that's me )
So I have to say if you plan on mapping you're own car get a wb 02
Romraider forum and nasioc are the two best resources for info IMHO
