Question shall i get it done ?

hi guys/girls

thinking bout getting a remap on my scooby.

now who ever had car before has had eml turnt off as its not on dash when neutral.

now its does stall now and again when cold when i come to a stop, however when fully warmed up she is sweet.

mods on car are fully de-catted system, dump valve, full indution kit.

also am looking at getting a top mount intercooler sti [is it worth it?]

so is it worth doing ?

A remap is always worth it imo, especially as you have unmapped mods, you should see a nice power increase and will sort out/highlight any issues you may have.

Also worth fitting an upgraded fuel pump too, sti intercooler will make a nic improvement too.

What year/model car do you have?

STI intercooler is a good upgrade over the standard wrx one. With those mods you already have, with a fuel pump and remap you'll see around 280 - 290 bhp on the standard turbo.

Price of a remap is £500 - £600 for first one with the licence being needed.

Alan Jeffery (Engine tuner) are based in plymouth so worth speaking to him

As above remap will be good bet,but would say, don't go with DV,this can cause lot of problems,if you want get DV,have look for Forge DV

STi TMIC(Top mount intercooler) will be bit overkill for your WRX at moment, but will help in later stage when you will be swapping turbo for something bigger(VF34,V35,VFxx)

Full de-cat and induction kit with no remap is asking for a blown engine. Get yourself to Engine Tuner ASAP!

Yeah thats the pump most people use. Like Jura said STI intercooler bit of overkill unless ur gona get a bigger turbo. The licence fee is what u pay for the mapper to use francised software eg ecutek. Or u could go down open source ie racedynamix. He charges £350 for full custom map. Many others are out there. Who do the lads in your local club use u tend to find clubs stick with 1 mapper.

Bit of a bold statement, Chris. I know loads of local cars that weren't mapped by Duncan. Dare say I know of more that weren't.
