I wanna get an air/oil seperator but I can’t decide which one to go for from the above 2. Anyone running either a Perrin or grimmspeed one ? And your opinions on them ?.

Yeah they are more expensive as always. But too be fair the build quality of the grimmspeed doesn’t look too bad.

i like the idea of catch cans but the only thing that puts me off is that I’d need to empty them every so often, I wanna make my life as easy as possible too be honest. and personally I think that the air/oil seperator unit is a better option for me.

i read the same. And that they are suitable for daily drivers that aren’t running high boost levels.

it’s more of a safety measure for me too be honest. I’ve always read good things about aos so I thought I’d take the plunge.

looks like a lot of work involved in installing the Perrin one.

the only thing I’m worried about with the grimmspeed is the possibility of condensation on the unit itself.

i went for the red grimmspeed in the end mate. Ordered it Thursday from the states and I’m getting it delivered tomorrow .

I actually ordered it from Tarmac Sportz and it cost me £325 mate

i wouldn’t say that! They’ve all got good and bad reviews with them when I was looking.

I’d you’re running 350bhp or less and don’t track the vehicle don’t see why you’d need one tbh. Had a 3 port catch can on my old widetrack that was my daily road car running 440bhp but never really needed to empty it...didn’t see the point in the end just more pipes and no obvious benefit.
Bought it for piece of mind but ultimately probably never needed it in the first place.

Edit - remembered a few mates had oil in their TMIC - for that might be a benefit as that can significantly impact performance
