Default Simtek on a Hawkeye......anybody running one?

So I've been speaking to mark @ thwaites about an eco upgrade in the new year, I know syvecs is the all singing dogs bollocks of engine management but it's is also very expensive. Alcatek isn't available for the hawk so Mark mentioned the latest simtek, he said it wouldn't be available just yet and he wants to test it on his own car 1st which is fair enough.

Any experiences of simtek?

Brief spec is

2007 hawk sti
Closed deck 2.5 built by scooby clinic 8k covered so far
Std rods with arp bolts
Mahle pistons
New crank
Cosworth headgaskets
Heads fully built with upgraded springs etc
(Not sure what headbolts so assume 11mm)

Japspeed Fmic
Scoobyclinic Induction kit
750cc denso injectors
Walbro pump
Fully decat
Std headers
2.5 system with vortex backbox
Hybrid vf43 turbo
Ap racing clutch and extreme lightweight flywheel

Was thinking rcm headers/harvey up-pipe and sc42 turbo/t36 turbo as can't push it too much due to std rods.

Interested in this too mate. Was thinking about Alcatek but customer service side is putting me off massively. Have been looking at Simtek for the Type R but undecided...

yes you can have launch control and you can have switchable maps then have one of the maps with a load of popping and banging but it's not antilag.

Don't rule out a link ecu as well if your mapper is happy to work with them.

Above quite right !
Don't rule out the Link ecu, excellent customer support, UK dealer network, fully featured and very nice to work with.
We're a Link agent so if you want to get a quote give us a call.
